This Jewelcrafting guide for Battle for Azeroth will give you the information to get you to level 150 as quickly as possible.
Jewelcrafting Changes in BfA
In Battle for Azeroth Jewelcrafting now has a seperate skill depending on your faction, [Kul Tiran Jewelcrafting] for (Alliance) and [Zandalari Jewelcrafting] for (Horde).
The maximum profession skill levels have been lowered for each profession tier:
- Classic professions max at 300.
- Outland, Northrend, Cataclysm, and Pandaria professions max at 75.
- Draenor and Legion professions max at 100.
- Battle for Azeroth professions max at 150.
Jewelcrafters no longer craft neck gear and instead can now craft staves.
Jewelcrafting Trainers:
- For (Horde) Seshuli located in Dazar’alor.
- For (Alliance) Samuel D. Colton III located in Boralus.
If you ever have trouble finding your profession trainers, you can always ask a city guard for directions. This will place a marker on your map at the NPC’s location.
Each rank increase via the ranking system allows you to gather more effectively.

Leveling Jewelcrafting
1-75
Cut any of the following gems until you reach level 75.
They will turn green before you get there but by far the cheapest option is to just keep cutting them.
- [Deadly Solstone]
- [Insightful Rubellite]
- [Masterful Kubiline]
- [Quick Golden Beryl]
- [Straddling Viridium]
- [Versatile Kyanite]
75-140
These turn yellow at 100 and green at 125 but are still the cheapest option until around level 140.
140-150
I started cutting these and flipping these on the AH at around level 130.
If you can’t turn a profit using the AH, I would stick to blue gems until a max of level 140. They are substantially cheaper.
